Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your NTRLY account, published by Digital Summit LLC, and what happens to your data when you do.

The fastest way: in the app

  1. Open NTRLY and go to the Settings tab.
  2. Tap Privacy.
  3. Tap Delete My Account, then confirm.

This deletes your account and its data straight away — on the device and on our servers. It is not a queue and it cannot be undone. No email, and no waiting on us.

The row above it, Delete My Data, is a different thing: it erases everything on that device and leaves your account alone, which is what you want when you are handing a phone on.

If you no longer have the app installed

Email support@digitalsummitlabs.com from the address you signed up with, and ask us to delete your account. We use the sending address to confirm it is really yours — we will not act on a request for an account we cannot tie to the sender.

We action these within 30 days, and reply to confirm when it is done.

What gets deleted

  • Your account and the email address you signed up with
  • Your inventory, meal plan and shopping list
  • Receipts and any photos you scanned, including the images themselves
  • Your household membership, and the household itself if you were its only member
  • Your nutrition and food log history

Deleting from inside the app removes all of it immediately, on the device and on our servers. A request by email is actioned within 30 days.

What we keep, and why

Records of purchases
App Store and Google Play receipts are held by Apple or Google, and web receipts by Stripe. We keep the minimum transaction record tax law requires, with no kitchen data attached to it.
A paid subscription
Deleting your NTRLY account does not cancel your subscription or stop it renewing. Cancel it first: in Settings › Subscription on ntrlyapp.com if you subscribed on the web, or in the App Store or Google Play if you subscribed in the app. Otherwise you will keep being charged for an account that no longer exists.
A household you shared
If other people are still in your household, the household and their data stay. Yours is removed from it.

Deleting the app is not the same

Uninstalling NTRLY removes it from your phone but leaves your account and its synced data in place, so you can come back to it. Use one of the two routes above if you want the data gone.
