Privacy Policy

NTRLY helps you track what's in your kitchen. This policy explains what the app stores, where it stores it, and who else can see it.
What we store
Your inventory, meal plan, shopping list, chores, receipts, household settings and, if you use it, the food log of what you ate. If you create an account we also store the email address you signed up with and the display name you chose.
Where it lives
Everything is written to your device first. If you sign in, the same data syncs to your household's record so the other members of your household can see it. Nobody outside your household can read it.
Photos and scans
Photos you take of items or receipts are used to recognize what's in them and are stored with the item they created. Receipt images are never shared with the store they came from.
Apple Health and Health Connect
Only if you connect one in Settings → Connected Accounts, and only to read — NTRLY never writes to Health. It reads your daily steps, active and resting energy and exercise minutes, and your weight if you allow that separately, and uses them to adjust your daily calorie target and show your activity in the app. If you're signed in, those daily figures sync to your own account — not your household's — so they follow you to your other devices. Health data is never used for advertising, never sent to AdMob or our AI provider, and never sold or shared. Disconnect in Settings → Connected Accounts — which also removes the activity it added — or revoke access in the Health app, and NTRLY stops reading.
AI features
Recipe suggestions, item recognition and the healthier-ingredient swap send the relevant text or image to our AI provider to generate a response. We don't send your name, email or location, and the provider is not permitted to train on it.
Advertising
The free tier shows banner adverts supplied by Google AdMob. Premium removes them entirely — a subscriber's device makes no ad request at all. AdMob receives the technical information it needs to select and measure an advert, which includes your device and its advertising identifier, but it never receives your kitchen contents, your receipts, your photos, your email address or your household. On iOS you are asked before any advertising identifier is used; decline and you get the same app with adverts chosen by context rather than by you.
Who else sees your data
Five processors, each limited to what it needs. Google Firebase stores your account and the synced copy of your household. Google AdMob serves the adverts described above, to free-tier devices only. RevenueCat records whether a subscription bought in an app store is active. Stripe takes payment for a subscription bought on ntrlyapp.com — your card details go to Stripe, never to us. Our AI provider receives the text or image for a single request. Nobody else receives anything.
What we never do
We do not sell your data, and we do not hand your kitchen, your receipts or your household to anyone for their own purposes. Nothing you store in NTRLY is used to target an advert at you.
Your controls
Settings → Privacy has two separate controls. Delete My Data erases everything on this device and leaves your account signed in. Delete My Account permanently removes the account and everything attached to it — on the device and on our servers — straight away, not on a queue. Settings → Export Your Data takes a full copy first. If you pay for Premium, cancel it in the App Store or Google Play: deleting your account here does not stop billing, because Apple and Google own that subscription.
Children
NTRLY is not directed at children under 13. A household member added as a Kid has no account of their own — they appear only as a name on the chore board.
